Resurfacing is a highly effective method for improving disc readability and removing surface-level scratches—often the main reason games fail to load or run properly. However, it’s important to understand that resurfacing is not a guaranteed fix, and some discs may remain non-functional due to deeper or unrelated damage.
Please note the disc that we are NOT able to do:
PlayStation 3, 4, or 5
Xbox One
Xbox Series S/X
Nintendo GameCube
Any Blu-Ray movies/disc
While we aim to reduce or eliminate scratches as much as possible, some marks may still be visible after treatment—especially if they’re deep or have penetrated beyond the repairable layer. Even with multiple passes at the highest level, certain scratches may be permanent. That said, most discs will return in significantly better condition and may regain full playability.
Discs showing signs of cracks, top-layer damage, peeling, or separation are considered beyond repair. If this is identified before resurfacing, the disc will be returned untouched and no fee will be charged. If the damage is only discovered after an attempted repair, the standard resurfacing fee will still apply.
Next Life Games is not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping or the resurfacing process. Once your items are handed off to the shipping carrier, we are no longer liable for their condition or delivery.
A $5 charge under the options, is a required return shipping charge; anything over $5, Next Life Games will cover. We use PirateShip, and most packages will ship via USPS Ground Advantage.
