Cartridge Cleaning

from $9.00

Pricing:

1-9: $4/each + $5 Return Shipping

10-25: $3/each + $5 Return Shipping

Cartridge cleaning is a proven method for restoring reliable gameplay by removing dirt, oxidation, and corrosion from the metal contacts inside retro game cartridges. These contaminants are often the reason games fail to load, glitch, or freeze during play. Cleaning restores the electrical connection between the cartridge and the console, allowing the game to be read properly.

We also clean the interior/exterior of the shell. We do not clean the label, as old cartridges have very fragile labels. If you specifically do not want the exterior of your shell to be cleaned at all, please provide a note/email to us letting us know, otherwise it will be cleaned.

However, cartridge cleaning is not a guaranteed fix, and some cartridges may remain non-functional due to deeper internal damage, broken traces, or chip failure. If a cartridge is deemed beyond repair before cleaning begins, it will be returned untouched and no fee will be charged. If the issue is only discovered after cleaning, the standard cleaning fee will still apply.

While we aim to restore clean, readable contacts, some visual imperfections may remain—especially if the corrosion has etched into the metal. The goal is functionality, not cosmetic perfection to 100%.

Next Life Games is not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping or the cleaning process. Once your items are handed off to the shipping carrier, we are no longer liable for their condition or delivery.

A $5 charge under the options, is a required return shipping charge; anything over $5, Next Life Games will cover. We use PirateShip, and most packages will ship via USPS Ground Advantage.
